Over the past ten years I have worked across three countries with nearly every stage of human development (from elementary through middle and high school, college students, and adult learners).
With adult learners in San Diego and Boston, I organized soccer, board game, and other events to build community while fostering English skills. I have also coached students to perform at live storytelling events like The Moth.
In American Samoa (above), I taught 5 different high school subjects. With limited traditional school resources, we went to local farms to study biology and earth science and students brought in fish to study marine science.
In Korea (right), I wrote a play with my students (which ended up having dragons and magic lobsters with pineapple wands, of course).
In Los Angeles (left), I ran an after-school program and began a pen pal project with my students and individuals from around the country.
At the Bar 717 Ranch (above), I coordinated animal husbandry and wilderness activities, earning a secondary title as Mother of Goats.
